+ What is Northwest Leadership College?

Northwest Leadership College is a ministry of Life Center Church in partnership with Southeastern University. The Northwest Leadership College experience is all about education, experience, and community.

SEU offers Northwest Leadership College students discounted degree programs while students are immersed in student community and hands-on learning practicums at Life Center Church with the potential to earn academic credit for their practicum learning.

+ What are the requirements to attend Northwest Leadership College?

Northwest Leadership College is open to applicants 18-25 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent. NWLC is a rigorous program consisting of academics, practicum experience, and consistent highly social environments. Students enrolled are committed to maintaining high standards of excellence and responsibility.

+ What does a typical week of a Northwest Leadership College student look like?

Northwest Leadership College is a full time internship and school program. Students will typically have two days off a week as well as some evenings, and will have time commitments every other day of the week.

The average student spends 10-15 hours a week on college courses, and an additional 20+ hours in student life, classroom, and practicum activities.

+ What does the application process look like?

Our admissions page outlines the application process. Each student must begin by filling out the free NWLC Application. A staff member will then reach out to the student and schedule an interview. If the student is accepted into the Northwest Leadership College program, they will then fill out a separate application to enroll in SEU classes.

+ Can I earn a college degree?

Yes! Southeastern University partners with Life Center to host an instructional site on the church campus, and offer students accredited degree programs. See available degree programs by clicking here.

Southeastern University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. Northwest Leadership College is not accredited by SACS Commission on Colleges and the accreditation of Southeastern University does not extend to or include Life Center or its students. Students must be admitted by Southeastern University and enrolled in university courses to receive the benefits of regional accreditation.

+ Can I transfer in previous college credit? Will credit from this program transfer to other schools?

Yes! Each school varies, but most general classes and some spiritual classes will transfer in or out of SEU to other institutions. Students will work with the registrar of each school to determine exact transfers.

+ Is financial aid available?

Yes! Students will need to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid at fafsa.ed.gov using SEU’s school code, 001521.

+ Is this only for individuals looking to pursue vocational ministry?

No! This is for anyone looking to gain a college education while receiving hands on experience and training in leadership and local church ministry. It is a holistic program designed to produce people who are capable, educated, and eager contributors to society.

+ Are the classes taught online or in person?

Most of the Southeastern University classes will be delivered online. However, Northwest Leadership College will deliver live classes as well, taught by staff and local leaders.

+ Can I work a job while attending Northwest Leadership College?

Yes! Students are able to work a part-time job as long as the schedule does not interfere with the Northwest Leadership College schedule. Students are expected to make Northwest Leadership College classes and activities their first priority.

+ Is student housing available?
